Create a Course by Describing a Topic
Use Describe your topic to let KREDO AI generate a course outline based on the topic and course requirements you provide.
Access Course Creation Guided
- Go to Admin Dashboard → Courses → Create → New Course with AI.
- Select Course Creation Guided.
- Enter the Course Title.
- Under How would you like to build it?, select Describe your topic.
- Enter the topic or learning requirements in Describe your topic.
The guided course creation process then takes you through the following steps:
- Course Title
- Target Audience
- Language
- Course Duration
- Course Theme
- Cultural Context
- Assessments
- Audio & Voice
- Media & Visuals
- Review & Generate
1. Define the Target Audience
After entering the course topic, KREDO asks you to define the target audience.
Describe Your Target Audience
In Describe your target audience, enter a role, team, or audience description.
You can also select one or more Suggested job roles or select Add another role.
Select the Proficiency Level
Select the proficiency level that best matches your target audience:
- Beginner — No prior experience needed.
- Intermediate — Some foundational knowledge.
- Advanced — Expert-level content.
The selected proficiency level helps KREDO AI adjust the complexity and pace of the course content.
2. Select the Course Language
Select the primary language for the course content.
The Select your course language section displays the selected language and the available languages.
You can browse All languages, which are displayed in Alphabetical (A–Z) order.
Select the required language to continue.
Note: KREDO provides multiple language options for course creation. The available languages displayed may vary based on your KREDO configuration.
3. Set the Course Duration
In Estimated Course Duration, specify the total learner time for the course, including lessons and activities.
You can select one of the predefined durations:
- 5 Minutes — Quick overview
- 10 Minutes — Focused introduction
- 15 Minutes — Standard lesson
- 20 Minutes — Deeper learning
- 30 Minutes — Comprehensive course
Alternatively, select a specific duration under Need a specific duration?
Enter the duration in Minutes.
The allowed range is 2–60 minutes.
AI insight: You can adjust individual lesson lengths after the course outline is generated.
4. Select a Course Theme
In Choose a theme for your course, select a visual theme that aligns with the course topic and audience.
Theme Presets
Select from the available theme presets.
The available themes may include:
- Lavender Night
- Pistachio Forest
- My Theme
- Official
- Standard Themes
- Neo
- Nature
- Default
- Apex
- Office
- Retail
- Health
You can also select Customize colors to customize the course colors.
Note: The available themes depend on the themes configured in your KREDO environment. Theme names may vary.
5. Add Cultural Context
In Any specific cultural context to consider?, provide cultural information that should be considered when generating the course.
Enter a Country if specific cultural context is required.
This field is optional and can be skipped if there is no specific cultural context to consider.
6. Configure Assessments
In How many questions do you want to include?, specify the number of questions to include in the course.
Use the − and + controls to adjust the number of questions.
Note: You can add or edit questions after the course is generated.
7. Configure Audio and Voice
In Choose the audio style for your course, select whether the course should include narration.
Under Course narration, choose:
- No audio
- Enable audio
If audio is enabled, select a voice under Select a voice for your course.
The available voices display the voice name and language details. You can select Preview voice to listen to the selected voice before continuing.
Note: Narration is generated automatically for each lesson and can be edited later.
8. Configure Media and Visuals
In Choose Image Generation Source, select the AI service to use for generating course images.
Available image generation sources include:
DeepAI
Recommended
Faster generation with optimized image quality and delivery.
Flux AI
Medium-fast generation with optimized image quality and reliable delivery.
GPT Image 2
Highest-quality, best prompt-following visuals. This is the default for new courses.
Select the Background Type
Choose how the background of each course page should be displayed:
- Solid — Uses a plain solid-color background.
- Image — Generates a unique AI-generated background image for each page.
9. Generate Learning Objectives
After completing the guided course configuration, KREDO AI begins generating the learning objectives.
The Sit back and Relax while learning objectives are being generated ... screen displays the generation progress.
KREDO AI analyzes the topic and generates learning objectives based on the information provided during the guided course creation process.
Important: Do not close or refresh the page while the learning objectives are being generated. Leaving the page may create a partial course that does not work properly.
10. Review and Generate
After KREDO AI generates the learning objectives, the Review Course Objectives screen opens.
The screen displays the objectives generated for the course.
You can:
- Review the generated course objectives.
- Edit an objective as required.
- Select Add objective to add another learning objective.
Note: AI-generated content should be reviewed and edited to ensure that it meets your course requirements.
Review and Edit Objectives
- Review the objectives displayed on the Review Course Objectives screen.
- Select an objective to edit its content.
- Update the objective as required.
- Select Add objective to create an additional objective.
- Review all objectives before continuing to the next step.
Note: Review and edit the generated objectives to ensure that they accurately reflect the expected learning outcomes of the course.
