Question Bank Pooling

Pool questions from a Question Bank into assessments based on difficulty and topic selection in KREDO.

Question Bank Pooling allows you to link a Question Bank to an assessment and select a specific number of questions based on difficulty and topic.

Note: The Base Language must match for both the Question Bank and Assessment.

Pool Questions from a Question Bank

  1. From the Assessment page, go to the Advanced section.
  2. Under Select Question Bank, select an existing Question Bank.
If no Question Bank is available, use the provided link to create a new Question Bank.

Note: Question Bank selection is available only during the assessment creation process.

  1. Click the Info (i) icon next to Select Question Bank to view additional information.
  2. After selecting a Question Bank, configure the Number of Questions to be pooled, Question Bank Summary, and Topic Wise Selection.

Question Bank Summary

Question Bank Summary displays an overview of the available questions based on their difficulty level.

Specify the Number of Questions to Be Pooled from the selected Question Bank.

Note: The number of questions to be pooled must match the total difficulty-level distribution.

Difficulty Level Selection

Configure the number of questions required for each difficulty level:

  • Easy
  • Medium
  • Hard

The total number of questions assigned across the difficulty levels must equal the Number of Questions to be Pooled.

For example, if Number of Questions to be Pooled is set to 5, the combined number of Easy, Medium, and Hard questions must also be 5.

If a difficulty level is set to 0, it is ignored.

Topic Wise Selection

Enable Topic Wise Selection to select questions based on specific topics.

  1. Enable Topic Wise Selection.
  2. In Topic Level Difficulty Segregation, select the required topic.
  3. Define the difficulty level distribution for the selected topic.
  4. Select additional topics if required.
  5. To remove a difficulty-level configuration, click the bin icon.
  6. Click Continue.

Note: If the total number of pooled questions does not match the selected question distribution, an error message is displayed. The process can continue only when the counts match.

The page proceeds to Proctoring Configuration. After configuring the required proctoring settings, the pooled questions are displayed on the Assessment Authoring page.

You can then edit and publish the assessment for the assigned users.

Mapped Count

The Mapped Count indicates the number of assessments linked to a Question Bank.

  • The count increases when the Question Bank is linked to one or more assessments.
  • If the Question Bank is not linked to an assessment, the count remains zero.
  • Select a Question Bank and click the Mapped Count value to view the linked assessments.
