Adding a Custom Field

Add a custom field to capture additional user information in KREDO.

Custom fields allow administrators to capture additional information that is not available in the standard user profile fields.

To add a custom field:

  1. Go to Settings > Custom Fields.
  2. Click Add Custom Field.
  3. Enter the Field Name.
  4. Select the required Type:
    • Textfield
    • Dropdown
    • Number
    • Checkbox
    • Email
    • Date
  5. Enable Required if the field must be completed by the user.
  6. Click Create.
  7. A success message appears, and the new custom field is added to the list.

Note: Custom fields can be used to capture organization-specific information such as employee code, joining date, department, skill rating, or other business-specific details.

Configure a Direct Manager Custom Field

A custom field can be configured to identify a user's Direct Manager when the reporting manager is different from the Group Manager.

To configure it:

  1. Go to Settings > Custom Fields.
  2. Click Add Custom Field.
  3. Enter a name such as Direct Manager.
  4. Select Email as the field type.
  5. Enable Required if necessary.
  6. Click Create.

Once created, the Reporting Manager field becomes available in the applicable user profile.

Note: The default Reporting Manager is the Group Manager. The Reporting Manager field is available only after the applicable custom field is created.

Assign a Direct Manager

  1. Open the required user profile.
  2. Locate the Direct Manager custom field.
  3. Enter the manager's email address.
  4. Save the user profile.

The specified manager can then be used for applicable skill approval and classroom nomination workflows.
