Percentage Calculation for Trainer Profile
Learn how the average course rating is calculated in the Trainer Profile report.
In the Trainer Profile report, the Rating displayed in the Trainer Profile Summary is calculated by averaging the ratings submitted by learners for a learning asset.
Rating Calculation
Use the following formula:
Average Rating = Sum of All Learner Ratings ÷ Total Number of Ratings
Example Calculation
Suppose three learners rate a course as follows:
- Learner 1: 4 stars
- Learner 2: 5 stars
- Learner 3: 3 stars
The average rating is calculated as follows:
Average Rating = (4 + 5 + 3) ÷ 3
Average Rating = 12 ÷ 3 = 4.0 stars
Therefore, the course receives an average rating of 4.0 stars.
