Common Functionality

The following functionalities are common across the course creation interface and templates.

  1. For the fields Title, Label, Before, Before Label, After, After Label, Content, Content - 1, Content - 2, List - <> (<> indicates the number. For e.g., List-1, List-2, etc.), Details, Instruction Text, Reveal Text, and Done Text, once you select the text entered in these fields, the format window appears. Shown highlighted in Red.

  2. The icons as shown in the order from the left to the right Upload, Edit, Delete (All shown highlighted in Red) appear for all fields where images need to be attached and they indicate:

    • Upload – Indicates the icon to click to upload the images and documents.

      • To move to the Select Source window, click the Upload icon. To upload an image from your local drive, click the Choose a file or drag it here option.

      • All the frequently used images will aggregate under My Library. This makes it easy for the Author to choose the most commonly used images.

      • To search for a million plus royalty free images, move to Stock Image. Look for relevant images specific categories by searching with the key word.

    • Edit – Indicates the icon to click to edit the uploaded images.

      • To move to the Edit Image window, click the Edit icon as shown earlier.

      • The common menu options are shown from left to right. All shown highlighted in Red.

        • Undo
        • Redo
        • Reset
        • Delete
        • Delete All
      • The advanced menu options shown from left to right have other capabilities that can be used to enhance image outcomes. All shown highlighted in Red.

        • Crop

        • Flip

        • Rotate

        • Draw

        • Shape

        • Icon

        • Text

        • Mask

        • Filter

    • Delete – Indicates the icon to click to delete uploaded images and documents.

  3. All the templates, under Chart, Concept, Content, Gamified and Question has the text-to-speech capability that appears if the option Audio is enabled under Course Settings.

    • To access the Select Source pop-up, click the Add Audio button. Shown highlighted in Red.

    • By default, the Author is under MY COMPUTER. Click the TEXT TO SPEECH option.

    • Enter the relevant text under the Enter your own text field.

    • Select the relevant voice-over artist from the list given under Select Neutral voice.

    • To save the entries, click the Create button.

    • Right at this stage of the course, the chosen voice-over artist will say the outlined text in the background. To play the text, click the Play icon, to update the text and to select a new voice-over artist, click the Upload icon and to delete this added audio, click the Delete icon.   4. The usage of hexadecimal codes is also prominent in the platform. It is applicable under the themes when the color needs to be changed for the various components within the course.

    • Click the relevant option for which the theme must be changed. For example, click the color option against the Body option. Shown highlighted in Red.

    • The option to change the color using the slider with colors and the slider with the shaded version appears, along with the existing hexadecimal code of the existing color. Shown highlighted in Red.

    • Enter the relevant hexadecimal code and then click the CLOSE button. Shown highlighted in Red.

    • For the fields Title, Label, Before, Before Label, After, After Label, Content, Content - 1, Content - 2, List - <> (<> indicates the number. For e.g., List-1, List-2, etc.), Details, Instruction Text, Reveal Text, and Done Text, once the text entered in these fields is selected, the format window appears. Then click the font color icon. Shown highlighted in Red.

    • The hexadecimal code can be updated in these scenarios as well.

  5. The options shown below appear for the following templates:

    • Concept (Type)

      • Accordion, Text Slider (List)
      • Card Expand, Flip Card, Image Pop-up, Text with Image Slider (Card)
      • Carousel (Image Text)

  6. In various screens of the platform, the search capability is present which is used to easily filter data that we are looking for.
