Discussion Threads and Collaboration
Collaborate with your peers and management by creating discussion threads based on the courses and learning journeys you go through.
Starting a Discussion

To access the Discussion page, click the Discussion icon from the main menu.
- If there are no active discussions, click the Start Discussion button.

To start a discussion, click the Start Discussion button in the Discussion page.

Enter the discussion title and select the relevant course from the course list.
- If the discussion needs to be made public, check the box Public (Visible to All Users) button.

Enter a description for your discussion.
- The description can be formatted using the relevant options as seen in Microsoft Word.

To save the details, click the Save button.
- The new discussion has been initiated.
Adding a Comment

To access the Discussion page, click the Discussion icon from the main menu.
- View the relevant discussion in the list to which a comment needs to be added.
- You can comment on any of the discussions that are in progress.

To access the Add Comment button, click the 0 Comments option.
- If the comment has already been added the value 0 would show as a number depicting the number of comments.

To add a new comment, click the Add Comment button.

Enter the comment.
- The comment can be formatted using the relevant options as seen in Microsoft Word.

Click the Add button.
- The new comment that has been added now appears under the discussion name and the discussion description.
Editing a Comment

To access the Discussion page, click the Discussion icon from the main menu.
- View the relevant discussion in the list for which the comment needs to be edited.

To edit the comment, click the Edit button.

Edit the comment.
- The comment can be formatted using the relevant options as seen in Microsoft Word.

Click the Update button.
- The updated comment now appears under the discussion name and the discussion description.
Deleting a Comment

To access the Discussion page, click the Discussion icon from the main menu.
- View the relevant discussion in the list for which the comment needs to be deleted.

To delete the comment, click the Delete button.

The Please Take a Moment window appears.

Click the Yes button.
Liking a Discussion

To access the Discussion page, click the Discussion icon from the main menu.
- View the relevant discussion in the list to like the comment.

To like the discussion, click the 0 Likes option.
- If the discussion has already been liked the value 0 would show as a number depicting the number of likes.

The view would now show 1 Likes.
Disliking a Discussion

To access the Discussion page, click the Discussion icon from the main menu.
- View the relevant discussion in the list to dislike the discussion.

To dislike the discussion, click the <> Likes option.
- <> indicates the number of likes at that point.
- For example, if two people have liked this discussion, it would show 2 Likes.

The view would now show 1 Likes.
Deleting a Discussion

To access the Discussion page, click the Discussion icon from the main menu.
- View the relevant discussion in the list to that needs to be deleted.

To open the discussion details, click over the respective discussion.

To delete the discussion, click the Delete option.
Bookmark a Discussion
- To access the Discussion page, click the Discussion icon from the main menu. View the relevant discussion in the list to bookmark.
- Click the relevant discussion.
- Click the Bookmark option.
- The earlier option Bookmark now shows as Bookmarked.
Viewing Bookmarked Discussions
- To access the Discussion page, click the Discussion icon from the main menu.
- Click the Bookmarked Topics option.
- The list of discussions that have been bookmarked appears.
Remove a Bookmark for a Discussion

To access the Discussion page, click the Discussion icon from the main menu.
- View the relevant discussion in the list so as to remove the bookmark.

Click the relevant discussion.

Click the Bookmarked option.

The earlier option Bookmarked now shows as Bookmark.
